Josh Manes Architecture + Interiors is an award-winning family run licensed architectural and interior design firm in Brooklyn, NY. We carry licenses to practice in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. We provide our clients with creative sustainable architecture and interior design solutions for their homes and businesses. From design concept to construction completion, we are involved with all aspects of the process. We specialize in custom single family homes, multi-tenant residential condominium/co-op renovations, townhouses, retail and light commercial spaces. In addition to our architectural work we also practice exhibition design for businesses who require a temporary installation of interactive exhibit work or anything of that nature. With a focus on modern and sustainable architecture, Josh Manes Architecture + Interiors is at the forefront of contemporary design practices and project execution.
Josh Manes
Architect/Owner
Josh Manes is a registered architect in the states of New York and New Jersey as well as a LEED AP. For the past 14 years he has been a practicing architect with several commercial architecture firms both small and large. He has worked on various project types including schools, hotels, residential, theaters, retail, corporate interiors, critical facilities, master planning and mixed use. Josh graduated from Washington University in St. Louis (2004) with a BA and University Miami with a Master of Architecture degree (2006). When he is not practicing architecture, some of Josh's favorite activities include writing music, traveling and rock climbing.
Jack Manes
Director of Interiors
Jaclyn “Jack” Manes is our Director of Interiors. Joining the company in 2018, she brings a unique perspective to the table with a background in textile design, home goods & fashion. Jack received a double degree at the University of Wisconsin- Madison where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Textile Design followed by an Associate Degree in Accessories Design from F.I.T in New York City.
Jack went on to launch the handbag line, Jack Germain, in 2011 where she truly fell in love with design and how it dramatically effect someone’s life. After closing her line in 2015, Jack became the Director of Merchandising for AHAlife where she was the head of buying for a diverse e-commerce website with a strong focus on home goods. It was here that Jack and Josh Manes had their first opportunity to collaborate on a pop up turned permanent store for the company. Josh handled the design and Jack curated and merchandised the space. The store was awarded with the title of “Best Gift Shop in NY” from New York Magazine in 2016. Jack and Josh continued to collaborate on until Jack officially joined the JMA team in 2018.
